Feedback from some satisfied parents and students

Our daughter has been with Sands for approximately 2 years at key stage 2 level. His outstanding style of tutoring using an imaginative and creative approach to learning has made this a fun experience for our daughter. She looks forward to each session and fully engages with the subject. Her grades have advanced significantly at school and she is eager to continue her lessons with Sands next year. We'd fully recommend Sands for Maths tuition to anyone, without hesitation!

I can not recommend Sands enough. I hired him to help my grandaughter through her GCSEs. She had always enjoyed Maths however had become very disheartened after the mock results. Sands gave her confidence to go into her exams, made sure she was secure in the lower mark topics before tackling topics she needed to learn. Strategies were given to help with timings, an understanding of where her focus needed to be during each exam and lots of support during the exam period. I would not hesitate to recommend Sands , he is knowledgeable of his subject and up to date with the new curriculum, and most of all passes on his enjoyment of the subject to his pupils.

We decided to get some extra maths tuition for our daughter, to complement her lessons at school. Mr Dobson's approach to teaching was friendly yet professional. He encouraged our daughter to believe in her ability, and this boosted her confidence.

Our daughter is pleased with the result of her GCSE Maths exam, and of course we are too.

Sands has quite literally transformed my life. He was recommended by a close friend, and I’m so pleased I listened. 7 weeks ago I took a maths test and got 25%. After 7 weeks of lessons I have just passed my GCSE Equivalency maths Level 2, at the age of 32, with 73%. It is something I have been trying to do for a decade but struggled to balance alongside a full time job and family life etc, as well as quite severe dyslexia. Committing to working with Sands was the best decision I have ever made. This review cannot do justice to how incredible a teacher he is. He is professional, kind and understanding. He worked me out in the first lesson in terms of my strengths, weaknesses and how I learn, or more importantly how I don't learn. I’ve gone from thinking that passing was an impossible idea, to actually enjoying the maths lessons themselves, and believing in myself far more. All I can say, if in doubt call Sands!!
